We've adopted a car!

5-year old beauty. Docile, good tempered, garage-trained, gets along well with other humans and vehicles. Help us find a name for her! The winner gets to go for a drive with her (transportation to and from Richmond not included).

Richmond, Virginia, pop. 193, 777

Admittedly, Richmond's a bit more homely in the winter, but all in all, it's a beautiful city with a lot more history than either of our hometowns, where the memory of the Confederate States of America still lives.

Meet Hawk and Oscar

These are our two resident hyper-intelligent intergalactic beings that are experimenting on us to find the answer to the meaning of life, the universe, and everything. They do manage to look quite innocuous, however.

Our Pad

I like our apartment; it's quiet, clean, and spacious. Recently, however, we've had a couple problems. As the weather's gotten a bit colder we've heard squirrels scrabbling and gnawing between the roof and our ceiling, and one actually made it through. In our living room, there are two teeth marks. We haven't heard them much lately, however, despite the sub-freezing temperatures. Adam's hypothesis: a cat got to them. Mine: all the asbestos in the ceiling finally knocked them dead.

Capital One

I haven't quite figured out the photo formatting on blogger yet, but here's where Adam works, the Capital One campus, in all its autumn glory.

And here's Adam's with his coworkers, Gory, Sly, and Skinner. Yes, of course he really works with Visgoths. They've got all the right aggressive instincts for the credit card business.

Welcome to Richmond, Virginia

In August, Adam and I made the drive from coast to coast in our packed little Subaru. I had to sit on a pillow to see out the rear view mirror. Posted by Picasa
